RIP Hamm’s Pint Glass

It’s sad day here in the Land of Sky Beer Waters house, my prized Costello’s Bar & Grill glass is no more!

Back in the mid 2000’s, aka my prime bar days, when I lived on Grand Avenue in St Paul, I met up with some friends at Costello’s which was located on Selby Avenue in the Cathedral Hill neighborhood, (Now known as Red Cow) I had my first Hamm’s on tap…….which was a whopping for 75 cents !!!

At this point I had just started to get interested in old beer things and I only owned two Hamm’s collectibles, an old t-shirt transfer from the 70’s and a cardboard cutout of a Hamm’s can….I know pretty weak collection right haha.

Costello’s sold these pint glasses after they announced the closing of the bar back in 2014. So after years of service, I knew this day would come but didn’t know it would be this soon. I think I’ll keep it on my beer collectibles shelf from now on because it’s days of holding beer is over
