Guzzle N’ Twirl Recap
Who says all activities in 2020 are cancelled?
This years annual Guzzle N’ Twirl Show, put on by the North Star Chapter Brewery Collectibles Club, happened in a modify version of the usual event.
This years show was still held at Aldrich Arena in Maplewood MN but this time it was in the parking lot! The weather held out to make it a nice day as opposed to last years early snow flurries that came out of nowhere.
Of course the number of vendors and attendees were down from the standard amount, which is arguably the biggest show in Minnesota but there were still quite a few tables representing the show. Sellers brought out some of the good stuff and also they brought a lot of the easier to display stuff in the parking lot setting.
I myself was hoping to find a new lighted sign I havent seen before of any beer brand and my mission was completed when I found a pretty sweet clear plastic Blatz sign. On top of that it was a new old stock sign and it didnt break the bank!
I didnt see most of people I usually run into at the show this year but I did see some familiar sellers. One new thing I did see was a couple guys doing some major research with books and ipads checking things before making the purchase. I dont think I’ve ever seen this or maybe I just haven’t pay attention that much before but I thought it was cool, it reminded me of the old days of baseball card collecting haha.
Nevertheless the show was a fun Saturday morning with some decent early fall weather in the parking lot of where the show is normally held. Hopefully next year will be covid free and the show can be held in the usual setting (even though I kind of liked the difference in setting this time) but I guess what I really mean is more of the actual shows happening throughout the year and not being cancelled. This is most likely my last collector show of 2020 I’m attending so I’ll say until next year everybody!
