It’s a wonderful Schlitz spotting!

Over the years, I have to say I’ve only seen It’s a Wonderful Life (in it’s entirety) about …less than 6 times? I always ended up seeing scenes here and there flipping through the channels because it’s hard to watch a black and white movie and one that’s also three hours long !

Ok I will say that I’m starting to coming around to B/W movies cuz it’s kinda fun to see how stuff was made back in the day in terms of acting, scenes and lighting and etc.

So last year while watching the movie, I noticed a classic beer spotting which I cant believe I’ve never noticed before! I mean they are in a bar, you would think I was looking around for some classics hanging on the wall or something.

So what did I see exactly? Well it was an awesome Schlitz neon hanging right in the front window of Martini’s…er Nick’s…er Martini’s haha. In both timelines the Schlitz sign still remained. The sign also had the phrase “in bottles” so I’m not sure if that was a feature back in the day having bottles in a bar or just having one beer on tap.

Last night while watching the movie again, I spotted the sign and was like oh damn I totally forgot to make a post about this last year haha…. so here I am finally posting.

So this Christmas, sit back and have a Schlitz in honor of George Bailey, the richest man in town.
