Coloring Books For A Cause

Since everything has gone to hell in a handbasket lately, everyone is trying to figure out ways to support each other and not go insane at the same time.

Fear not, a solution has been thunk up! Some local artists have teamed up with Har Mar Superstar to bring not one but two Twin Cities scenester coloring books!

The first one is The Big Coloring Book of First Avenue, and the second is the soon to be released The Big Coloring Book of Grumpy’s and Palmer’s ! For anyone that’s not from Minnesota, First Avenue is the legendary nightclub which is celebrating it’s 50 year anniversary and Grumpy’s and Palmer’s are classic Minneapolis dive bars that are not actually dive bars but bars that are referred to as dive bars but are cool former tied house bars that are referred to as dive bars….

The artists who have leaded their talents to the projects are Stacey Combs, Laura Hauser, Erica Ilich, Zachary Edward,Clair Swenson, Anne Collingwood and Michael Gaughan.

These books are a benefit for the Twin Cities Music Community Trust, which was setup by First Avenue to help out bands that are currently not able to play due to the Covid outbreak. Since the first book was such a hit, the dive bar edition will be the second edition in hopefully a long line of others to come.

If you are wondering what bands are featured in the First Avenue book they are … Prince, Atmosphere, Trampled By Turtles, Dizzy Fae, Nur-D, Mark Mallman, Har Mar Superstar, Doomtree, Dillinger Four, Lizzo, Sophia Eris, Hüsker Dü, The Replacements, Happy Apple, Poliça, The Cactus Blossom and Babes in Toyland….I think that’s everyone.

So you are probably wondering how the hell do I get this coloring book right well just follow the link below…
